A Startin Guide: What is Suzuki Service Activated Warranty

20 February 2024

When it comes to purchasing a vehicle, one of the most crucial considerations for consumers is the warranty coverage offered by the manufacturer. A warranty provides peace of mind, assuring buyers that their investment is protected against unforeseen mechanical failures or defects. In this regard, Suzuki has introduced an innovative solution known as the Suzuki Service Activated Warranty, revolutionising the way warranties are managed and ensuring maximum benefit for customers.

In this article, Startin Suzuki guides you through Suzuki Service Activated Warranty and whats included.

WHAT IS SERVICE ACTIVATED WARRANTY?

Service Activated Warranty is a product available for customers of Suzuki vehicles as soon as the vehicle is purchased.

You’re covered from the moment you take delivery of your new Suzuki. Every new Suzuki comes with a warranty that covers you for the first 3 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Older than 3 years? Don’t worry, service with us and we'll give you a Service Activated Warranty through to your following scheduled service*,  up until your car turns 7 years old or reaches 100,000 miles.

To qualify, the customer must have a Suzuki scheduled service with an authorised Suzuki Service Partner, pay to repair anything that needs repairing and leave with a warranty that matches their service interval. Suzuki Service Activated Warranty has been designed to help protect you against the costs incurred in the event of an electrical or mechanical failure of a covered component of the covered vehicle occurring within the area of cover.

From superminis to SUVs', we’ll look after your Suzuki
Even if your Suzuki doesn’t have a full service history, you’ll still be eligible for our Service Activated Warranty.

Who is it for?

To be eligible for cover the vehicle must be a UK-supplied vehicle, with the customer residing in the UK and using the covered vehicle for their personal leisure use only and not for any business purposes (except for travel to and from a normal place of work for private retail customers). The vehicle must be road-legal with tax and MOT.

You must check that all previous services have been carried out according to the Suzuki Service Schedule. If the vehicle is missing a service, this must be rectified with any missing service items, and then complete a Vehicle Health Check.

Service Activated Warranty covers the vehicle. If a covered vehicle is sold, the remaining cover is transferrable to the new owner, but cannot be transferred to another vehicle. The new owner must contact their nearest Suzuki Service Partner to register their details.

If a customer has their car serviced whilst in an existing ‘New Car’, ‘Approved Used’, ‘Suzuki Extended Warranty’ or ‘Service Activated Warranty’ then they would have a continuation of cover. This means that the Service activated runs seamlessly from the end of their existing cover to their service-activated cover.
