How to synchronise the clocks on a Suzuki vehicle?

Date Posted: 02 February 2024

Keeping your Suzuki's clock accurately set is crucial for ensuring you're always on time and organised during your drives. While the process may differ from model to model, we have compiled some general advice that should help most Suzuki owners navigate through the clock-setting procedure.

Before diving in, it's always a good idea to consult your owner's handbook or visit your local Startin Suzuki dealership, where a member of our team will be able to advise you on the process.

Setting the Clock:

  1. Turn on the Ignition: Begin by turning on your ignition. Once the instrument panel lights up, you're ready to start the clock-setting process.

  2. Accessing the Main Menu: If your Suzuki model has a stalk on the right-hand side of the instrument panel, press down on it. This action should open the main menu.

  3. Navigating the Menu: Twist the stalk to navigate through the menu options until you locate 'Clock Setting.' Once found, press the stalk to select this option.

  4. Adjusting the Hour: With the 'Clock Setting' selected, you'll likely see the hour digit highlighted. Twist the stalk to adjust the hour to the correct time. Once set, press the stalk to confirm.

  5. Setting the Minutes: After confirming the hour, you'll notice the minutes are now highlighted. Again, twist the stalk to set the correct minutes and press the stalk to confirm your selection.

  6. Returning to the Main Menu: To exit the clock-setting mode and return to the main menu, scroll to the 'Back' option and press the stalk.

  7. Verification: Check your instrument panel to ensure that the correct time is now displayed in your car. Your clock is now set and ready to keep you on schedule.

If your Suzuki (Vitara) is equipped with an analogue clock, rest assured that it will automatically synchronise with the digital clock, saving you the trouble of manual adjustments!

Setting the clock in your Suzuki may seem like a small task, but it's a detail that can greatly contribute to your overall driving experience.

Following these general steps should make the process smoother for most Suzuki owners. Remember to consult your owner's handbook or reach out to your local Startin Suzuki dealership for any model-specific nuances or instructions. With a correctly set clock, you can hit the road confidently, knowing you're on time for every destination.

Startin Group Ltd and Thomas Startin Junr Ltd are Appointed Representatives of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd's permissions as a Principal Firm allows Startin Group Ltd, Thomas Startin Junr Ltd to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required
