The reveal of the new Honda Z-RV

20 July 2022

New Honda ZR-V

Honda has unveiled the ZR-V in the Japanese market. We will have to wait till 2023 until we see this model in Europe but take a look at some things we can expect.

The new CR-V will join the existing Honda SUV model range with the like of HR-V, CR-V and e:Ny1 prototype.

The ZR-V will have two powertrains options, a 2.0 litre, four cylinder-based petrol engine which is the same as seen in the new Civics 181bhp. The other will be a 1.5-litre petrol four-cylinder. Both powertrains will come equipped with a CVT transmission but the e: HEV will have a two-motor hybrid called e-CVT.

Most ZR-Vs should come equipped with a front-wheel drive but an all-wheel drive should be available to conquer those more challenging driving conditions.

External Design

The ZR-V closely uses the new Civics design features. Sleek headlights and curved rear lights mimic the Civic, but the front grilles' unique and stunning design has seen a new design philosophy compared to other models. Wide wheel arches support the SUVs stance and the twin exhaust pipes and rear roof spoiler show its performance features.

External Design

The Hondas interior has many similar features to the new Civic, especially the climate control interface. A 10.2-inch digital dial display and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system can be seen. The driver and passenger are separated by a high desk space which includes smart storage and button operated gear selector.

Here at Startin, we're waiting patiently for new information on this model. We will be keeping our social media and website up to date as soon as more information is avaliable for the European market.
