On the 20th March 2020, our dealerships closed as we initiated a Business Contingency Plan (BCP) to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. During the pandemic, our employees have maintained the highest levels of service to our customers and suppliers whilst working remotely and under strict covid measures at our sites when they were allowed to re-open. Whilst we were delighted to reopen, we have had to so with newly established protocols to maintain the safety of our customers, suppliers, employees and their families. Below is a summary of the measures we have in place to maintain safe operating conditions for all.
Our approach to COVID-19
The Directors and senior management team of Startin Group takes the COVID-19 threat seriously and we are taking all reasonable measures to prepare for and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to our employees, our customers, and our business. Startin Group has an established risk mitigation strategy that incorporates BCPs for all our critical activities, risk assessments, and crisis-management protocols. We activated this strategy as soon the
extent of the pandemic was known. Our board of directors continue to meet regularly to monitor activities and adapt our operations to the changing environment.
Our employees
Startin Group acknowledges that employers have a vital role to play by taking the necessary action to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are committed to providing a safe environment for our employees and their families. Our employees have received COVID-19 training with associated processes and are committed to maintaining strict social distancing and hygiene standards by following the advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England. Our Human Resources team has detailed processes in place to limit the transmission of infection including social distancing and extended hygiene protocols. Detailed steps have been issued to all employees of procedures to reduce risk while carrying out their daily duties and interaction with customers.
Our dealerships
We have taken additional precautions to protect our workforce and visitors. Newly introduced measures include increased cleaning and disinfection, high visibility signage to maintain safe social distancing, limited access for visitors and the availability of personal protective equipment. We have comprehensive plans to temporarily close part or all of our office to perform deep cleaning in the event an employee or visitor is considered a risk, shows symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19.
All visitors to our offices and dealerships will be asked to read this statement and agree to comply with our new working practices. All visitors and customers will be asked to self- declare their health status as part of the governments track and trace recommendations. Any visitor who declares COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted to our sites.
Meetings
Our approach to meetings is that they should be limited to “essential meetings” only. This is to limit unnecessary travel. Non-essential meetings will be conducted by video conferencing or telephony.
Events
All internal and external events have been rescheduled virtually, postponed, or cancelled until further notice.
Thank you for your continued support of Startin Group and the services we provide. We wish good health and safety to all our business partners and their employees and families.
Best regards,
Startin Directors
