The Formula 73 draws direct inspiration from the legendary Ducati 750 Super Sport Desmo, itself born from the race-winning Ducati 750 Imola Desmo that triumphed at the Imola 200.

That 1972 victory changed Ducati forever. It marked the arrival of desmodromic timing in a production-based machine and cemented Ducati’s place in racing history.

The Formula 73 carries that legacy forward.

Its silver and aquamarine livery with gold detailing references the original fibreglass tanks of early Super Sport models, including the transparent fuel strip used by racers to monitor fuel levels. The coloured frame, classic Ducati logo and Termignoni silencer with gold band complete a design that tells a story before the engine even starts.
