How to Apply for Vehicle Eligibility for the UK Electric Car Grant

The government is helping hand it over by providing a plug-in grant for qualified low-emission cars. However, before a vehicle can qualify, it has to meet some conditions and go through an approval process for the grant scheme.

The UK plug-in grant is an initiative backed by the government to get people purchasing electric or ultra-low-emission vehicles. It gives a discount upfront at the point of sale, so buyers do not need to claim it back subsequently.

But not all electric vehicles are automatically eligible. For a vehicle to qualify, it must be listed by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) on its approved models list.
