Honda takes next step towards electrification

Drivers in Worcestershire will soon be able to re-charge and experience the Honda electric revolution for themselves, with Startin Honda set to become one of the first Honda dealerships in the country to install the Honda Power Charger system ahead of the much anticipated Honda e launch in 2020.

The Honda Power Charger is an OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) approved AC electric vehicle charger, designed for use in Honda dealerships and at home. As the only charging unit tested and approved by Honda, it has the capability to charge the all-new, all-electric Honda e to 100% capacity in just over four hours. Charging at home will cost owners approximately £3.64 for one full charge.

The Honda Power Charger installation programme will be rolled out across the network, with participating Honda dealers offering charging facilities by April 2020. In the process of its acceleration towards complete electrification, Honda will see a number of hybrid and fully electrified models launched over the coming 36-months, with the Honda e and the new hybrid-only Jazz leading the way.
