The New Ducati DesertX 2026 - Built for Real Adventure

Date Posted: 01 March 2026

Ducati has taken the DesertX concept and rebuilt it properly.

The 2026 Ducati DesertX marks the second generation of Ducati’s dedicated travel enduro, redesigned around the new 890cc V2 engine and a monocoque frame. It’s lighter, more focused and more capable off-road — but still unmistakably Ducati.

At Ducati Nottingham, this is one of the most exciting arrivals of 2026 for riders who want genuine adventure performance without sacrificing road enjoyment.

A New V2 Engine Made for Adventure

The new 890cc Ducati V2 produces 110hp and 92Nm of torque, but the real story is how it delivers it.

With 70% of peak torque available from just 3,000rpm, the DesertX responds instantly when you need drive on loose terrain or strong acceleration out of corners. Shorter lower gears help tackle technical sections, while a longer sixth gear keeps motorway cruising relaxed.

Service intervals are equally impressive, with valve clearance checks at 45,000km and oil changes every 15,000km. It’s engineered for serious mileage.

Chassis Built for Off-Road Confidence

The DesertX remains true to its purpose with a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear, now paired with upgraded suspension and progressive rear linkage for better comfort and control.

The monocoque frame uses the engine as a structural element, increasing rigidity while keeping the bike compact. A redesigned 18-litre fuel tank sits lower in the chassis to improve balance, while protective crash pads make it more resilient in typical off-road drops.

This is a Ducati designed to be used properly.

Electronics That Support, Not Interrupt

The 2026 DesertX features a full electronics suite built around a 6-axis IMU, including:

  • Cornering ABS with off-road specific levels

  • Ducati Traction Control

  • Ducati Wheelie Control

  • Engine Brake Control

  • Six Riding Modes including Enduro and Rally

In Rally mode, the 5-inch TFT display transforms into a practical navigation-style layout, ideal for standing riding and technical terrain.

The result is a bike that adapts to your skill level — from experienced off-road riders to those building confidence.

Designed for Serious Travel

Everything about the new DesertX is functional.

Higher front mudguard clearance for mud-heavy conditions.
Slimmer tank for easier movement while standing.
Improved ergonomics for better control off-road.

And for riders looking to go further, Ducati Performance accessories include an auxiliary rear tank, aluminium panniers, soft luggage options and Termignoni exhaust systems.

Coming to Ducati Nottingham April 2026

The new Ducati DesertX arrives in UK dealerships in April 2026, with a special UK launch price available for early orders.

If you’re looking for a serious adventure bike that blends professional-level off-road capability with Ducati performance character, the 2026 DesertX deserves your attention.

Visit Ducati Nottingham to register your interest, discuss specifications or be among the first to see it in person.

Adventure should feel engineered, not improvised.
