The All-New Kia EV2 Makes Its Global Debut

Exciting news from Kia. The all-new Kia EV2 has made its global debut at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, introducing a compact, city-focused electric SUV to the growing Kia EV line-up.

Designed to bring electric driving to an even wider audience, the EV2 sits in the competitive B-SUV segment and is aimed at urban households, first-time EV drivers and customers looking for everyday practicality in a compact package.

A confident SUV identity, refined for the city

Developed under Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy, the EV2 blends SUV presence with compact dimensions suited to town and city driving.

An upright stance, strong shoulder line and pronounced wheel arches give the EV2 real road presence, while vertical lighting elements and Kia’s Star Map lighting signature create a distinctive front end. Clean body surfaces and robust lower detailing reinforce its everyday usability.

A GT Line specification will also be available, featuring unique bumpers, body-coloured styling elements and dedicated alloy wheels for a more expressive appearance.

Compact outside, spacious inside

Despite its compact footprint, the EV2 has been designed to maximise interior space. Kia describes the cabin concept as a Picnic Box, creating a calm and functional environment for daily life.

The dashboard features a panoramic wide display combining:

• 12.3-inch digital driver display
• 5-inch climate control panel
• 12.3-inch infotainment screen

Flexible rear seating allows legroom to extend up to 958mm, while boot capacity can reach up to 403 litres with the rear seats moved forward. A front storage compartment provides additional practicality.

Electric performance designed for everyday life

The EV2 will be available with two battery options:

• 42.2 kWh standard range
• 61 kWh long range

The anticipated WLTP range is up to 196 miles for the standard model and up to 274 miles for the long-range version.

Fast charging capability allows 10 to 80 percent charging in around 30 minutes, depending on specification. The EV2 also features advanced EV technologies including:

• Plug & Charge
• Vehicle-to-Load functionality
• Vehicle-to-Grid capability
