It is the most powerful production Corsa ever

The biggest difference is the performance.

The Vauxhall Corsa GSE produces 281PS and 345Nm of torque, making it the most powerful production Corsa ever made. It can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds, which also makes it the fastest-accelerating Vauxhall currently on sale.

That gives the Corsa GSE a completely different feel from a regular small hatchback. It is quick, responsive and designed to bring back the excitement people associate with classic Vauxhall performance models.

It brings hot hatch character into the electric era

The Corsa GSE takes the spirit of Vauxhall’s past performance cars and gives it a modern electric twist.

For drivers who remember names like the Nova GTE, Nova GSi, Corsa GSi and Corsa VXR, the Corsa GSE feels like a new chapter. It keeps that small-car performance attitude, but adds instant electric torque, smooth acceleration and zero tailpipe emissions.

It is familiar in spirit, but very different in execution.

It has a more focused driving setup

This is not just a Corsa with extra power. Vauxhall has made changes to help the GSE feel sharper and more involving to drive.

The Corsa GSE features a performance-tuned limited-slip differential, GSE-optimised steering and pedal tuning, plus a chassis developed for more control and response. It also has a lower ride height, wider tracks, stiffer spring rates, uprated axles and shock absorbers, and a new rear anti-roll bar.

In simple terms, it has been designed to feel more planted, more responsive and more exciting than a standard Corsa.

It brakes like a performance car

A proper hot hatch needs more than quick acceleration. It also needs strong, confident braking.

The Corsa GSE includes a performance braking setup with Alcon four-piston front callipers and 355mm front brake discs. In Sport mode, the car uses 100% friction braking, giving a more traditional performance braking feel.

That makes the Corsa GSE feel more serious as a performance car, while still being compact and usable for everyday driving.

It looks different too

The Corsa GSE has been given a sportier, more aggressive look to match its performance.

It features GSE-specific styling details including a sportier front and rear design, wheel arch extensions, black roof and spoiler, and 18-inch black diamond-cut alloy wheels. These wheels also give a subtle nod to Vauxhall’s classic 1980s GTE models.

It is still clearly a Corsa, but with more presence, more attitude and a stronger performance identity.

The interior feels more special

Inside, the Corsa GSE continues the performance theme.

The cabin includes performance seats, Alcantara and cloth upholstery, a chequered pattern inspired by the Nova interior, and yellow seat belts. Drivers also get access to GSE performance data, including G-force display, acceleration data, torque data and battery management information.

It is still practical enough for daily driving, but with details that make it feel much more focused than a normal Corsa.

It is fully electric, but still fun

The Corsa GSE proves that electric cars do not have to feel sensible or predictable.

With instant torque, quick acceleration and a compact size, it brings a fun, responsive feel to everyday driving. It also offers an electric driving range of up to 232 miles WLTP, depending on conditions, driving style and specification.
