Vauxhall Announces Fully Electric Corsa GSE

Vauxhall has officially confirmed it will launch the new Corsa GSE – a fully electric, high-performance version of Britain’s best-selling small car.

The announcement marks a major step in the evolution of Vauxhall’s performance line-up, bringing electrified excitement to one of the UK’s most recognisable and consistently top-selling superminis.

The Corsa GSE is set to combine everyday usability with motorsport-inspired performance, all delivered through a fully electric powertrain.

Expanding the Grand Sport Electric (GSE) Range

The Corsa GSE follows the successful release of the Mokka GSE, which is currently Vauxhall’s fastest production electric vehicle.

With this latest addition, Vauxhall continues to expand its Grand Sport Electric (GSE) sub-brand, reinforcing its commitment to electrified performance models.

The Corsa GSE will be based on the current serial production generation of the Corsa, but enhanced to deliver the sharper dynamics and excitement associated with the GSE badge.

According to Vauxhall, it builds on the technical knowledge and engineering DNA developed through the Mokka GSE Rally programme.

Motorsport-Inspired Electric Performance

Vauxhall’s return to motorsport has played a key role in shaping the GSE range.

The brand competes in the ADAC GSE Rally Cup, the world’s first electric one-make European rally championship. Since its launch in 2021, the championship has demonstrated the performance potential and durability of electric rally cars.

For the 2026 season, Vauxhall will field a full works entry with the all-electric Mokka GSE Rally, driven by young British driver Ioan Lloyd.

The development experience gained through this rally programme feeds directly into road-going GSE models like the upcoming Corsa GSE.

This connection reinforces that the Corsa GSE is not simply an electric upgrade — it’s designed with genuine performance intent.
